i love reading, it's so cathartic. i can just drown myself in a book for hours on end in blissful oblivion. it really is a pity i never get to read at uni, but i think i'm going to make a concerted effort to do so this year. there are SO MANY books i want to 'peruse' (hahahaha as rgp likes to say it) and the list keeps growing faster than i can strike anything off of it. for now,
storm of swords by george r.r. martin
three billion new capitalists by clyde prestowitz
economic naturalist
shock doctrine by naomi klein
the new steven d. levitt book
richard dawkins
the end of poverty by jeffrey sachs
a short history of nearly everything by bill bryson
robin cook's medical fiction
brilliant orange: the neurotic genius of dutch football
audacity of hope by barack obama
in defense of globalisation by jagdish bhagawati
maximum city by suketu mehta
stiff by mary roach
john grisham's books
a prisoner of birth by jeffrey archer
and with that, the count of monte cristo by alexandre dumas
the list just keeps going on and on..
haha i finished the brief history of time a couple of days ago, and i confess i didn't much in the last 2 or 3 chapters. nevertheless, it is an intriguing book that opened my mind up to the world of cosmology and quantum physics. if not for medicine and econs, i would have been a physicist. physics is amazingg i love it.
